Happy Mother's Day

To all the wonderful mom's out there that read my blog, I would like to wish you a Happy Mother's Day. As I was thinking about Mother's Day, it made me think back to one of the happiest days of my life, the day I met my angels and became a mom myself. I'll never forget that day as it was filled with a basket full of emotions.

The first time I got to hold both of my girls together.

The first time I got to hold Sydney.

And the first time I got to meet Camryn.

And here we are now, 6 years later. This also made me realize I need to start handing the camera over to Bob because the pictures of me with my angels are few! I cherish all the wonderful memories we have had together and look forward to making new ones.
Happy Mother's Day everyone! May you all have a wonderful weekend spending it with your children and families.

T-Ball 2010

The 2010 TBall season has begun, unfortunately it's been a wet start. Their first 2 games were both cancelled due to rain or the fields being too wet. The girls are definitely ready to get their game on! Their team is sponsored again this year by Moto Mart and Bob is the head coach along with 2 other assistant coaches. There can never be too many coaches when you are dealing with eleven 6 year olds! Hopefully this weekend the rain will stay away and the kids will be able to play!

A weekend FULL of showers!

This weekend was definitely action packed! I threw Kristie her baby shower on Saturday and Nicole's bridal shower on Sunday. It was great seeing everyone twice in 1 weekend! :-) It was a lot easier for our out of town family to only have to make the trip to Illinois once instead of spreading it over 2 weekends. I was happy to make it easier on them and throw them both in the same weekend, but holy crap I'm totally drained! I mean that in the nicest way though! :-) Both of the showers turned out beautiful, I am so happy. Both of these women mean the world to me and it was great to see them both so excited.
SATURDAY: Kristie's Baby Shower Brunch
Kristie and Kylie, Kristie is at 32 weeks now. Doesn't she look fabulous!!!! Grandma and Aunt Shirley enjoying the festivities.
Cami helping clean up the mess -- THAT'S my girl!!!!!
Syd got to show off the baby items.
SUNDAY: Nicole's Bridal Shower
I ordered this present cake from my favorite cake lady. She did an awesome job! I just loved it!
Nicole with her bridesmaids
Tallest to shortest..... although in this picture it looks like mom beats Cole - it's all in the hair! :-)
WOO HOO!!!!!
Aunt Nicole had 2 big helpers for all those gifts! I want to extend a big thank you to my wonderful family for helping me put together 2 delicious meals at the showers. I couldn't have done it without all your help! I have such an awesome family, I am so blessed!

Happy Birthday Ms. Jami!

On Sunday our neice Jamison celebrated her 3rd Birthday! We were lucky enough to be able to join them for dinner at Red Robin for a birthday celebration. She's growing up so fast!
Unfortunately once we started eating, something didn't agree with Cami's stomach. So our evening was cut very short with a hairy ride home as Cami clutched a to-go bag. :-( A couple of hours after we were home, Sydney started hugging the toilet. Not sure what it was, but something was obviously rolling in their stomachs, my guess from something they ate over the weekend that just happened to rear it's ugly head once they started eating dinner. All is well now though and it didn't last long - thank goodness! So glad we got to see our Jami girl on her birthday, if it was only for a little while.
Happy, Happy Birthday Jamison Love!

I would like to ask you all to say a prayer for my sister-n-law, Katy, who is being induced tomorrow (Thursday) morning. Please pray that she has a quick and easy delivery and that baby boy Love is born healthy and without complications.
UPDATE: We have a new nephew!!!! Gideon Charles Love was born Thursday at 5:00pm. Weighing in at a whopping 9lbs 15 oz. 22 inches long. Congratulations Katy, Justin and Jamison! We love you guys!

St. Patty's Day, Syd and Easter 2010

It's been a little while since I've made an update, so I'm going to have to make up for lost time. This is a picture of Cami and Syd's Leprechaun trap that they put out the night before St. Patrick's day. I thought this was such a clever idea, they even put Lucky Charms in the bottom of the traps because that's what Leprechaun's eat.... (as they so matter of fact told me!) :-)

As many of you already know, Syd and I got to take an ambulance ride in the middle of the night a couple of weeks ago. She had a severe asthma attack, I couldn't settle it down, so I had to call 911. Bob, of course was out of town - all the craziness happens when he's gone. This was trip #2 since the girls have been born that I've had to rush to the hospital without my calm and reassuring rock. Anyhow, Syd is doing much better, still battling the pneumonia, but it's on the upswing. After Syd and I's crazy night a special delivery arrived for Ms. Sydney. A fruit bouquet from Uncle Dan and Aunt Denise. This was such a highlight for her, it made her feel so special. And, she was sweet enough to share it with Cami too. Thanks to everyone for their prayers during this very scary ordeal.
Easter 2010 was beautiful this year. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Bob had to work in the morning this year, so we went to church together Saturday night and then bright and early Sunday morning the girls enjoyed 1 of 3 Easter egg hunts of the day. I video tapped the one at our house, so no pictures of that hunt, but I did take a couple sweet pictures of the girls in their Easter dresses that were actually a birthday present from Aunt Shirley. :-)

My beautiful daughters
After Bob finished working we headed over to Bob and Connie's for brunch and their 2nd egg hunt. I was a picture flunkie - this was the only picture I got - but thank goodness it was an awesome one of The Walter Grandkids! So sweet!
After brunch we headed over to Uncle Dan and Aunt Denise's house for another Easter Egg hunt and dinner. Here is a picture of the girls with some of their findings. The bracelets they are wearing were an Easter present from Uncle Nick and Aunt Liz. So cute!
When we got home our living room was covered in pastel! I just got it all put away! :-)
Bob helping Cami, her basket couldn't hold anymore eggs, so daddy had to empty her basket into a bag and off she went looking for more. Between the girls and Kylie I think they each had 60 eggs to find... CRAZY!!!!!!!!
And..... Syd found the GOLDEN EGG!!!!!!
Cami, Kylie and Syd
Uncle Dan was helping me carrying up the baskets. Their yard is a lot bigger than I thought it was! I was getting out of breath making all the long hauls to the house! You can see all the onlookers in the background. They had the birds eye view up there.
Cami and Syd got to video chat with their cousin Grace who lives in Kentucky. We wish they could have been there with us in person, but since they couldn't this was almost as if they were!
Here is momma Kristie! She is 28 weeks now and looking so cute!
We hope everyone had a great Easter! Hopefully our April will be a lot less hectic and uneventful than our March was!
